Our History: Born To Play
Hi Everyone! I'm John Paul Crescenzi, Hockey Coach and BTP Hockey Founder.
Born To Play Hockey started in 2022 with the first sessions being held at backyard rink skating with local players in Bradford ON. However, Born to Play really started when I got my first pair of skates and boy I never took them off! I slept in my first pair thinking I'd break them in quicker if I wore them all the time. That was until I got rollerblades and quickly the entire house became a hockey rink! Front Door was the Opponents Net, Back Door was my net, Hockey never stopped. I love the game and was born to play!
Coaching
Coaching and Teaching has always been a part of my routine. Early morning Learn to Skate and Learn to Play programs to Summer Hockey Camps for 100+ players over the summer. One of my first Junior games, I grabbed the board, drew up a play to my teammates and BOOM, we scored! Hockey has always been a passion and I love to share it with those players who want to learn. Over the past 10 years, I've Coached at the AAA Minor Hockey and Junior Levels. Most Recently with the York Simcoe Express Organization.
